Lantzville Low Flush Toilet Rebate Program

For a limited time, the District of Lantzville is offering a lifetime maximum of two (2) toilet rebates per residence. Replacing toilets using 13 litres or more, with a CSA approved new low flush model will earn you a rebate. The rebate is $60 for a low flush model (6 litres) & $100 for a dual flush model (3/6 litres). Rebate for new construction is $40.

Eligibility

  • This offer is only available to residents and/or property owners of the District of Lantzville who are connected to the community water system (lifetime limit of 2 toilet rebates per residence).
  • For new construction in the District of Lantzville, low flush (6 litres) toilets are encouraged. Offering $40 rebate for those property owners who install dual flush toilets (3/6 litre) as an alternative to the low flush models. There is no maximum for this incentive.
  • For a small fee, old toilets may be disposed of at the Regional District of Nanaimo Landfill (Cedar) or the Transfer Station located on Church Rd (Parksville).

Application procedure

  • Must provide a receipt (dated after July 31, 2005) for the purchase of a CSA-approved low flush toilet.
  • Provide proof of installation of the new low flush or dual flush toilet and the removal/destruction of the old toilet as follows:
    • Photo of old toilet in place
    • Photo of old toilet removed & tank broken
    • Photo of the new low flush toilet in place
